For years, hormone therapy for women was misunderstood and often avoided. But the science continues to catch up with what many experienced clinicians have seen in practice.
Recently, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. highlighted emerging data supporting the safety and importance of hormone therapy for women. Large population studies — including analyses involving millions of women — are showing what progressive hormone specialists have observed for decades.
At Florida Anti-Aging Center, we’ve been practicing bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for women since 2009, and this research strongly reinforces what we have seen clinically:
• Lower overall mortality (about 19–21% reduction in risk of death in estrogen-only users)
• Better cardiovascular health with reduced risk of heart failure and heart attack
• Lower rates of several cancers including breast, lung, and colorectal
• Improved brain health with lower risk of dementia
For too long, women were told hormone therapy was dangerous. The growing body of data now suggests something very different: appropriately prescribed hormone therapy may be one of the most important tools for protecting women’s long-term health.
This is why we have continued to offer individualized, bioidentical hormone therapy for women for over 15 years.
The science is evolving — but the direction is becoming increasingly clear.
